Το Παζλ της Αιωνιότητας (Eternity Puzzle) είναι ένα διάσημο μαθηματικό παζλ που σχεδιάστηκε από τον Christopher Monckton και κυκλοφόρησε το $1999$. Πρόκειται για ένα παζλ τύπου tangram, το οποίο αποτελείται από $209$ πολυγωνικά κομμάτια που πρέπει να τοποθετηθούν μέσα σε ένα μεγάλο πενταγωνικό πλαίσιο.

Tower of Hanoi: Solve the Classic Puzzle Interactively!

The Tower of Hanoi is a well-known puzzle where disks of different sizes are moved back and forth between three rods ($A,B$, and $C$). At the beginning, all disks are in position $A$. The aim is to bring all the disks into position $B$, whereby the rod $C$ can also be used in between. 

The essential condition is that a larger disk must never lie on top of a smaller one.

A few years before he died, aged 95 in 2010, I interviewed Martin Gardner at his home in Norman, Oklahoma.

Gardner was a journalist, a novelist, a magician, a philosopher and one of the earliest public debunkers of pseudoscience.

The "Missing Square" puzzle

Το τετράγωνο που λείπει είναι μια οπτική ψευδαίσθηση που χρησιμοποιείται στα μαθήματα μαθηματικών για να βοηθήσει τους μαθητές να συλλογιστούν σχετικά με γεωμετρικά σχήματα. ή μάλλον να τους διδάξει να μην συλλογίζονται χρησιμοποιώντας σχήματα, 

αλλά να χρησιμοποιούν μόνο αποδεικτικές περιγραφές με τα θεωρήματα της γεωμετρίας. Στο παζλ αυτό έχουμε δύο διατάξεις από παρόμοια σχήματα σε ελαφρώς διαφορετικές διαμορφώσεις.

The Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections

One of the most frequent email requests I have received since the Puzzle World web site was begun last year has been for help in locating a copy of Stewart Coffin's The Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections.

I have checked in at least a hundred bookstores during the past couple of years trying to find copies for fellow collectors. I have found only nine or ten copies. I contacted David Singmaster, the editor of the Oxford University Press Recreations in Mathematics series, of which Puzzling World is a member, to find out if a reprint was possible.
