THEOREM OF THE DAY: Lagrange’s Four-Squares Theorem

Any non-negative integer, $n$, may be written as a sum of four squares: 

$n = w^ 2 + x^ 2 + y^ 2 + z^ 2$ 

where $w, x, y$ and $z$ are non-negative integers (some of which may be zero.)
