Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic

The Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic states that every positive integer greater than 1 can be represented uniquely as a product of prime numbers. 
Without this property, an irreducible number (only divisible by itself or the unit) would not need to be prime.
