Our Mathematician of the Day is living legend Sir Andrew Wiles

Summary
Andrew Wiles is an English mathematician famous for having proved Fermat's Last Theorem in 1995. 
He has received numerous honours including being made a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen in 2000, and being awarded the Wolf Prize, the Shaw Prize, the Clay Research Award and the Abel Prize.
